Widnes Vikings back-rower Hep Cahill has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Super League outfit.

The 30-year-old joined the Select Security Stadium outfit in 2012 from Crusaders and has become an integral figure for the Vikings.

The New Zealander settled quickly in England and has featured 123 times for Widnes, although he has been restricted to just 11 outings this season.

Cahill insists Widnes very much feels like home and hopes he can continue to play a big part as the club battle for their Super League status.

"I've been here since the club returned to Super League in 2012," Cahill said.

"I want to continue to be a part of what Denis and the Club are building. Widnes is my home now."
