Wakefield coach Chris Chester has praised his side following Friday's thumping 43-18 victory against Salford Red Devils.
Wakefield were dominant throughout the clash at the AJ Bell Stadium and they went in 22-12 ahead at the break, with Jacob Miller grabbing a brace whilst Joe Arundel also went over.
Trinity kept their foot on the gas in the second half, with debutant Tyler Randell scoring twice and Bill Tupou also crossing once as the visitors clinched a crucial Super 8s victory.
Chester's men are sitting fourth in the table, one point ahead of Wigan Warriors in fifth, and the coach was delighted with the level of performance shown over the 80 minutes.
"I thought we were comfortable when we got a foothold in the game. We controlled the ball pretty well and were dominant for about 65 minutes," he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"I was disappointed with our last-tackle options, but that's probably me being a bit picky. We completed sets and worked hard for each other.
"Collectively we were very good and the starting pack was pretty aggressive. We have got to continue working hard."
Elsewhere on Friday night, Castleford Tigers picked up a 24-16 win at Huddersfield Giants while St Helens suffered a disappointing home defeat to Challenge Cup runners-up Wigan, losing 16-26.
