Christoph Maria Herbst will get on the nerves of the French in 'Germanized'.
The comedy-drama series is the responsibility of 'Entertain TV Serien', an own 'Telekom' streaming service. After the series cracker 'The Handmaid's Tale' and 'Better Things' were already running there, production is now being carried out in-house in order to remain competitive. Netflix or Hulu are the role models and meanwhile it is good form for a streaming service to produce itself.
The series will focus on the 1800-soul village of Ustarrezpetu, which is located in the south of France. The community is broke and relies on the help of a German company that wants to move there. Economically, this is a great opportunity if it weren't for the cultural differences. The team of authors consists of Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier, who have already been responsible for 'Welcome to the Sch'tis'. Stromberg author Peter Güde and Today Show employee Thomas Regel round off the quartet. In addition to Maria Herbst, Roxane Duran will be seen as the main actress. The first season will include a total of ten episodes, and filming will begin in spring 2018.
