Johanna Konta says there is plenty of room for improvement following her Wimbledon semi-final as she looks to win her first Grand Slam.

Konta became the first British woman since Virginia Wade in 1978 to make the last four at Wimbledon but could not go any further.

The 26-year-old will now have a short break before returning to action ahead of the US Open in August, where she will hope to build on her SW19 performances.

"I've got a massive amount of room to grow in all areas of my game to be quite honest," she told BBC Sport. "I know there's a lot of work to be done between now and achieving such things.

"I definitely feel I can physically improve. I'd like to get stronger, move even better on the court - maximise my movement."

Konta also recognises how important the mental side of the game is, and will work on all areas.

"I'm constantly looking to be more mentally strong and technically sound. I'm trying to leave no stone unturned," she added.
