In 2012, the former model Kartika Luyet decided to create, with her childhood friend Christian David, a cosmetics professional, green nail polish. They take two years to formulate them.
Their name: Kure (mix of care and manicure) Bazaar (for the explosion of colors and a nod to Morocco, where Kartika lived for ten years).
Today, Kure Bazaar invests spas of the most prestigious hotels in the world, such as Le Bristol, Le Meurice and The Peninsula in Paris, the Four Seasons in the Maldives, La Mamounia in Marrakech. Since its launch, the brand has sold a million bottles worldwide.
Varnishes devoid of toxic products
These varnishes do not contain toluene (a solvent that can cause allergies), formaldehyde (volatile hardener which, at very high doses, can cause respiratory problems), synthetic camphor, triphenyl phosphate and benzophenone (both suspected of disrupt the endocrine system), as well as dibutyl phthalate ( endocrine disruptor prohibited in the European Union).
Moreover, European legislation plans to ban some of these components in all nail polish. Proof that Kure Bazaar was a forerunner in this matter.
Thus, they contain up to 90% of natural ingredients including bamboo, cotton, corn, potato and vitamin E extracts. The formulas are constantly reworked and updated.
A brand at the forefront of the trend
Their success is also due to their nuances as close to trends as: Blue Rock Star, Gray Cashemere, Coral Coquette.
Good to know: all coloring solutions are non-allergenic.
The brand is present behind the scenes ready-to-wear and haute couture fashion shows, which forces us to constantly create very specific nuances. Today, there are more than eighty references.
Interestingly in the development of this brand: In France, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom, Kure Bazaar nail polishes are a huge success, both for the natural and fashion enthusiasts. Celebrities love the brand. As proof, Catherine Deneuve, a fan of the first hour, is faithful to the red Chérie.
Another red, christened Mademoiselle K, was even created especially for her.
