Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk has spoken out about his villainous and psychotic character on the fantasy series, Euron Greyjoy. Though he looks to be in a great position following the end of the third episode in season 3, the actor tells Variety that his time will be up at some point in the near future.

He explained: “He knows his time is spare. He knows he’s going to die at one point. And if you ask me, it’s probably going to be spectacular. I hope so. But right now, he’s in for a ride.”

Despite the reveal, the actor has been enjoying some pretty big scenes. In last week’s episode, he reigned down terror on the Greyjoy and Dornish fleets that were sent off by Daenerys to pick up some soldiers, killing all who were on board aside from Ellaria Sand, one of her daughters and his niece, Yara Greyjoy. (Theon Greyjoy also escaped, but is widely considered a coward.)

Returning to Cersei with the Dornish ‘gift’, he allowed the current Queen of the Seven Kingdoms to take her revenge in a brutal but somehow poetic way. Right now, he has marriage to Cersei on his mind.

Exactly where his story goes from here remains to be seen, but right now he’s in a great position. Hopefully, before too long, justice will come swift and heavy…

Game of Thrones continues Sundays in the US on HBO and Mondays in the UK on Sky Atlantic.
