West Ham target Theo Walcott is ready to fight for his future at Arsenal despite the imminent arrival of Thomas Lemar.

Walcott struggled to force his way into Arsene Wenger’s side last season, and that job looks set to become more difficult in the new campaign following reports that Lemar is closing in on a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Alexandre Lacazette has already arrived in a deal worth over £40million, and Walcott looks set to have his nose pushed further out of joint when Lemar eventually puts pen-to-paper.

With the World Cup on the horizon, Walcott needs regular first-team football to have any chance of making Gareth Southgate’s squad, and he has been heavily linked with a £20million move to the Hammers.

However, it is now claimed that Walcott has no intention of moving on, and is ready to fight for his place in the Gunners side at least until the transfer window opens again in January, meaning more frustration for Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.
