Homeland fans can today (July 2) get closer to the action than ever before here on Female First, going behind-the-scenes in an exclusive new clip that takes viewers on location, as the show films in New York with series lead Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes. Check out the clip below:
The clip comes in celebration of the three-time Golden Globe-winning and six-time Emmy Award-winning show’s sixth season coming to Blu-ray and DVD next week.
Throughout the sixth season’s episodes, fans will see the show pick up a few months after the dramatic events of the season 5 finale, following the recent election of the new President of the United States of America.
With Carrie (Danes) now back on American soil and living in Brooklyn, New York, she’s working at a foundation providing aid to the Muslim community in the USA. Her estranged mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) meanwhile is working closely with Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) on preparations for the new President-elect, whilst Quinn (Rupert Friend) is convalescing stateside.
In a country still coming to grips with the responsibilities of balancing security and civil liberties, the team this season follow different competing interests and motivations that reveal themselves during the transition of Presidential power. At just under 10 hours in length, it’s an addictive and binge-worthy watch throughout.
Homeland season 6 comes to DVD and Blu-ray on Monday, July 3.
