Because you spend almost a third of your life sleeping, the choice of a bed is anything but innocuous, especially when it comes to a child's bed. Children's beds are not chosen like those of adults. Here are the factors you need to pay attention to.
Privilege low and evolving beds
If your child is used to having a crib, there will be many risks of falling on their first nights in a new bed. We therefore prefer a low bed, which will limit the risk of injury. And to avoid going from a small space to a large bed, nothing like changing beds: thanks to additional parts, they can grow together with your child and thus accompany him for several years.
Choose the mattress carefully
In cribs, the box spring is usually directly integrated, so you do not have to worry about it. On the other hand, you have to pay special attention to the choice of the mattress. Say no to those foam, who do not support the back correctly, and prefer latex. The mattress must be firm without being hard.
Ask your child for his opinion
The best way to ease the transition with a new bed is to involve it in the choice. Even if you keep the last word, your child can help you choose the type of bed that gives him the most desire, and in which he will be delighted to go to bed every night!
And above all, do not forget to take care of your bedding: the sheets must have undergone anti-mite and anti-allergenic treatments, and have a motive that will please your child. A good way for him to customize his room!
