Manchester City willl reportedly look to offload Eliaquim Mangala in order to push through a £25million swoop for Jonny Evans.
City chief Pep Guardiola has already seen an £18m bid for West Brom's Northern Ireland international central defender rejected in the past week.
However, the Spanish tactician is keen to get the 29-year-old former Manchester United man into his squad at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the August 31 deadline.
And reports claim he will look to take advantage of Italian Serie A side Inter Milan's interest in Mangala to try and help fund an increased bid for Evans.
City signed the France international for £42m from Porto in 2014, but would be willing to lose over half of their money to secure an £18m sale and then use the money to replace him.
The main obstacle is that Inter are thought to be keen to loan Mangala this season, but City want a sale given that he spent last term away on loan with Spanish side Valencia and they want to try and balance the books.
