Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne is demanding more from Kimi Raikkonen as he believes the Finn is lagging behind his rivals.
Raikkonen has endured an underwhelming 2017 season, as he is currently fifth in the Drivers' Championship standings, a full 88 points behind leader and Scuderia team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
The 37-year-old has only claimed two podium finishes to date this term, with his best showing coming at the Monaco Grand Prix in May when he secured second-place, despite starting on pole.
Raikkonen could only finish fifth during Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix and Marchionne has now questioned his driver's commitment, as he believes the 2007 world champion is starting to fall behind his rivals at the top of the sport.
"I think Kimi has got to show a higher level of commitment to the process," Marchionne said. "There are days when I think he's a bit of a laggard, but we'll see. I am going to talk to him, we'll see what happens."
Raikkonen will certainly have to show a marked improvement during the remainder of the season, as he is out of contract at the end of the year and Marchionne admits there are no guarantees the Finn will be offered a new deal.
"All options are on the table,” Marchionne told Sky Sports. “We will continue discussing with Kimi.”
