Margaret Qualley's father built a house behind her school and used to bring her lunch.
The 22-year-old actress, who is the daughter of Andie MacDowell and her former partner Paul Qualley, has admitted following her parents split they lived "three miles" away from one another, but her dad erected his home near to her school so he could see her frequently on her breaks.
She told Metro newspaper: "I grew up with my parents living three miles away from each other. My dad built a house right behind my school and would walk and bring me lunch every day to school. It was dreamy."
But the 'The Nice Guys' star has revealed her two parents are completely different to one another.
When asked about her father's home, the brunette beauty said: "His house had no TV, no computers, no wi-fi, no microwaves. My mum's house had those regular amenities but I still didn't watch much TV growing up."
Meanwhile, Margaret - whose full name is Sarah Margaret Qualley - has admitted she is desperate to take on a lighter, comedic role instead of a dark character.
She said: "I feel like I go up for lots of parts that are happy girls - I just don't get any responses. I'm always like, 'What about a lovely comedy?'. And they're like 'No, we'll just give you this killer instead. I don't know quite what it is they see in me."
