Stoke look set to sell midfield flop Gianelli Imbula to Ligue 1 champions Monaco for around £14m this summer.
The 24-year-old joined the Potters from Portuguese club Porto in the 2016 January transfer window but has failed to hit the heights at the bet365 Stadium.
The defensive midfielder made 14 Premier League appearances during the second half of the 2015-16 campaign but slipped down the pecking order last term, enjoying just 14 outings in all competitions.
Boss Mark Hughes is said to be keen to get him off the wage bill and is prepared to make a loss on the former France Under-21 star.
Monaco wanted to take him on loan but the Potters refused to budge and it seems as though they will let him go for less than the £18.3m they bought him for 18 months ago.
Imbula has experience of French football having played for both Guingamp and Marseille before moving to Portugal in 2015.
