West Brom boss Tony Pulis insists Jonny Evans is not guaranteed to return to the starting XI after recovering from injury.
The Northern Ireland international has not played in any of West Brom's first three Premier League games, but he did feature for his country during the international break.
He scored in the 2-0 win over Czech Republic but West Brom have made a strong start in his absence. They have conceded just one goal so far and Pulis has warned the former Manchester United man that he could be forced to start on the bench.
"[Evans] has got to knuckle down to get back into the team and start showing everyone how good of a player he is again," he told reporters.
"I'm pleased that Jonny stayed. He's a very down-to-earth lad, he's very level-headed. He's been at one of the great clubs in world football for a long time so going to Man City or going to Arsenal would not have fazed him at all. And I don't think the speculation fazed him."
