Manager Tony Pulis says Oliver Burke could be named on the bench for West Brom's home clash against Stoke City on Sunday.

Scotland international Burke penned a four-year contract with the Baggies on Friday, signing from RB Leipzig for an undisclosed fee, and he could be handed a spot on the bench for the Premier League encounter against the Potters.

"We'll watch him today in training, We won't start with him, but whether we'll put him on the bench we'll see," the manager told reporters.

Captain Jonny Evans, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City, is not expected to be fit with the manager saying Sunday will be "a bit too close" for the Northern Ireland international.

Welsh forward Hal Robson-Kanu will definitely miss the trip as he continues to serve his suspension after being sent-off in the 1-0 victory over Burnley last time out whilst centre-back Gareth McAuley won't be fit until after the international break.

Midfielder James Morrison will also be assessed after playing 70 minutes in midweek while Jonathan Leko, Kane Wilson and Rekeem Harper are unlikely to feature after Pulis confirmed the trio are set to leave on loan before the window shuts.

He added: "We've got Jonathan Leko, Kane Wilson and Rek [Rekeem Harper] going out on loan if we can get the right players in. They'll have an opportunity to go and play league football."
