Sophie Turner admits that growing up in public is not that easy.

The 21-year-old is known to many through her role as Sansa Stark in the popular HBO series 'Game of Thrones', but as everyone knows, celebrity has its downsides.

When she got the role, the actress was just twelve years old and the subsequent puberty in the spotlight was anything but easy. The hormone chaos is not easy for a teenager, but Sophie was also observed at every step. "Sometimes it was really nasty to have to deal with it," she tells People magazine. "You grow up and your hormones and puberty somehow overwhelm you all at once."

Meanwhile, the actress, who is privately with Joe Jonas, has been part of the series for nine years and her character has grown dear to her. "We have experienced so much together. Everything that happened to her makes her who she is today. I can empathize with that."
