Tottenham are confident of keeping hold of defender Danny Rose in this transfer window after putting a £60m fee on his head.

Rose made the headlines with his controversial comments regards the club’s transfer policy, and that kicked off suggestions he could be on the move before the closure of the transfer window at the end of the month.

However, boss Mauricio Pochettino is not concerned with his outburst and wants to keep hold as he looks to make it third time lucky in the race to win the Premier League title.

Spurs have slapped a £60million price tag on the head of Rose, and considering the defender is battling back from a knee injury and will not be fully fit until October, no club is likely to match that.

Chelsea have been heavily linked, with reports claiming they could make an offer after the two sides have met today, but again any switch to Stamford Bridge looks unlikely and they are planning a triple defender raid on Southampton instead.

Rose would also prefer a move north, and with Manchester United not planning a move at this stage, the England international looks set to stay with Spurs until at least January.
