240 g of cooking wheat
250 g strawberries
1 l of milk
100 g of sugar
1 untreated orange

Steps

Step 1

Prepare. Rinse the wheat, drain it. Wash the orange, take half of the zest. In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar and orange zest. Add the wheat, cook on very low heat, without lid, 1 hour, while stirring regularly. At the end of cooking, the wheat should be tender and creamy.

2nd step

Meanwhile, wash the strawberries, cut them up and cut them in half (save 4 small ones for the decor).

Step 3

Assemble. Stir in the strawberries with the cream of wheat, mix gently. Spread in verrines or ramekins. This dessert is tepid or cold. In this case, shoot the verrines and reserve them in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Step 4

At the time of the tasting, decorate the verrines with the reserved strawberries or physalis, if you find some!

tips

You can use pre-cooked wheat, but it will absorb less milk and be less creamy.

You can make this dessert with rice like a rice pudding. Do not forget to adjust the cooking time.
