Why are our teeth dark?

Our diet is partly responsible for the formation of plaques or tartar that cover our teeth with spots not frankly glam ... Tobacco, coffee or red wine color enamel. Sometimes, simple scaling is enough to remove these stains, but when deep, you have to opt for another method.

The principle of teeth whitening

The method of teeth whitening aims to lighten the color of the enamel . A carbamide peroxide-lightening agent or hydrogen peroxide which is dosed according to the desired bleaching is applied to the dentition . In contact with the teeth, he "breaks" the pigments that have formed over them for years.
Note : If your teeth are greyish, bleaching will prove quite complicated.
On the other hand, if they turn to yellow, the operation will be simpler.

Finally, note that the technique of bleaching is certainly painless , but it can make the teeth sensitive during the days following the operation ...

Teeth whitening at the dentist

Generally done in one or two sessions , the dentist first produces a "gutter" made from a dental impression previously taken. It is this which will receive the gel which contains the enlightening agent . It is the dentist who will agree the duration of the pose , depending on the initial state of your teething.

Ambulatory bleaching also requires the construction of gutters, but the installation of hydrogen peroxide gel, much less concentrated to avoid risks, continues at home . The daily wear time is also determined by the dentist.
