E very year in October, the association The Breast Cancer, Let's Talk! created by Estée Lauder and Marie-Claire magazine raises awareness among French people about the fight against breast cancer. Initiatives are multiplying to encourage dialogue on this disease that affects one in eight women. Birchbox, the beauty box specialist, decided to organize a special day on Saturday, October 15, 2016, under the double sign of beauty and fashion. It's Pink Day.
Beauty and generosity on the pink day program against breast cancer
What happens during this first pink day? The 100% beauty day brings together bloggers, health professionals and the general public during a large vacuum-dressing organized from 11am to 6pm at the Léon Baubourg space (38, rue Quincampoix in Paris). On the program: fashion shopping and beauty workshops with treatwell.fr, platform for booking beauty and well-being treatments online. The opportunity to enjoy the care provided by a masseur, two nail artists, a make up artist and a hairdresser ... In exchange for a donation (from 2 €).
Even: a young beauty brand for women concerned with breast cancer
The purpose of this special day is to raise funds to support the creation and distribution of miniature kits of Even brand products. Created in 2015, the Even brand is dedicated to women affected by cancer. The two founders Judith Levy and Juliette Couturier have decided to invest in helping women fight the side effects of treatments such as extreme dryness of the skin, weakening of the nails, irritation of the scalp (due to wearing wig) ... A way for the two young women to help the patients regain their self-esteem and femininity. The first range of product Even will be marketed early 2017.
For Birchbox, this collaboration is not a first. With its October box, Birchbox was already encouraging subscribers to donate to Even.
