Huddersfield are going head-to-head with Brighton again for Fiorentina's Croatian striker Ante Rebic and are reportedly winning.

The two clubs were rivals for automatic promotion from the Championship last season and again battled for the signature on loan of Chelsea striker Izzy Brown this week.

Brighton won both tussles with Town but, according to TMW, Terriers boss David Wagner could beat his Seagulls counterpart Chris Hughton to the signature of 23-year-old Rebic.

The report claims Rebic will fly to England on Saturday to hold talks over his future with Huddersfield, leading the way for a potential £4million swoop.

The former RNK Split hitman has been loaned out on three separate occasions by Fiorentina, scoring two goals in 21 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season.
