Victor Lindelof, Ander Herrera and Matteo Darmian will come into the Manchester United side to face Burton in the Carabao Cup.
Jose Mourinho will rest several members of his first-team squad, including David de Gea, Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic - who were all given an extra day off.
Lindelof and Chris Smalling could reprise their centre-back pairing after keeping a clean sheet against Basel in the Champions League last week, with Sergio Romero expected to start in goal behind them.
Darmian could replace Valencia at right-back while Luke Shaw is in contention and hoping to get the nod on the opposite flank.
Scott McTominay is also in the squad and could compete for a place in midfield alongside Herrera. Marcus Rashford could start up front if Mourinho decides to rest Romelu Lukaku.
