DeAndre Yedlin says he is delighted to be back involved in a winning Newcastle side after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old missed the first month of the campaign due to the problem but impressed on his return to action, helping the Magpies to a 2-1 win over Stoke City in the Premier League.
With Newcastle in fourth place in the table, Yedlin is excited to be back in the squad and relieved to be playing again after his hamstring woes.
He told the Chronicle: “It was great. Obviously coming back from a hamstring injury isn’t easy because you have to take them pretty slow and be pretty careful with them, especially when you’re the type of player I am.
“It’s one of my necessities to make sure I have my leg muscles as close to 100 per cent as they can be.
“It was great be back and great to come back on a win. I thought the team played pretty well. Obviously there were a couple of moments where we slipped up a bit, but I thought, for the most part, that we dominated the game and played very well."
