Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed Pedro will require a face mask in order to take part in training.
Pedro was taken off during the first half of Saturday's 3-0 friendly win over Arsenal at Beijing's Bird's Nest Stadium after a heavy collision with opposition goalkeeper David Ospina.
Conte had initially hoped the Spain international would be fit enough to make the next leg of the pre-season tour but the 29-year-old was sent home due to severe concussion.
Further examinations have been conducted and the Italian tactician has revealed the forward has "multiple fractures" to his face although he "should train in 10 days" with a mask.
Pedro will become the latest Chelsea player that has been forced to wear the protective face mask, following on from the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill, Cesc Fabregas, Cesar Azpilicueta and Demba Ba.
Conte also confirmed that new record-signing Alvaro Morata is set for his debut against Bayern Munich in Singapore tomorrow, but the forward will not be handed a start.
