Lil Wayne was hospitalized.

The rapper, who has epilepsy, suffered from seizures over the weekend and had to be taken to a clinic. The concert on Sunday evening (September 3rd) in Las Vegas was canceled after the musician was passed out in his hotel room at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago hotel. He had another seizure at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Insiders reveal to 'TMZ' that Wayne's team had still hoped that he would recover on Sunday afternoon to be able to do the show at 'Drai's Beachclub' in the 'Cromwell Hotel', but the doctors advised against flying, because the 34-year-old had seizures in the air more often.

Speakers have now confirmed that the 'Lollipop' hit maker has been released from the hospital and is now resting. Rapper TI stepped in to replace him. On Instagram it said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Lil Wayne willcancel his planned show at the 'Cromwell Hotel'. Instead, TI will perform a show together with DJ Franzen. Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at 'Drai's' Lil Wayne wishes you a speedy recovery. "
