The 'Love Island' ladies are allowed to "request" waxing kits during their stay at the villa.

Eyebrows have been raised over why the contestants always look so pruned on screen, despite spending six weeks trapped in the house, without any contact with the outside world, but now former star Olivia Buckland - who came second in the series last year - has explained that they are able to ask for grooming gadgets to keep them looking fresh.

Speaking on 'This Morning' on Friday (14.07.17), she said: "You can request a waxing kit, there's a secret window where you get food and drinks from. So they could be getting the waxing kit from that, but one of the other girls will have to do their bikini lines for them."

Fury was sparked earlier this week when pictures emerged of contestants Montana, Amber, Tyla, Gabby and Olivia heading into a luxury salon in Mallorca, Spain, but bosses have poured cold water on claims the show is "fixed" by revealing that the stars are allowed to leave the complex but they are chaperoned at all times to ensure they don't talk to the public.

A spokesperson said: "They are chaperoned while they are out of the villa, as they would be if they were filming a date or like when Chris and Olivia went to the supermarket."
