Force India's Esteban Ocon is confident he can work with Sergio Perez after accusing his team-mate of trying to kill him in Belgium.

The pair came together twice during Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix, with Ocon eventually finishing ninth, but not before calling Perez an "idiot" for his actions in an expletive-fuelled radio message.

He then took to Twitter to continue his rant and accused the Mexican driver of trying to kill him twice during the race.

The 20-year-old has now offered an olive branch to his colleague and, after admitting his comments were made as the red mist descended, is now looking forward to the future.

"We will be moving forward, we are a team and I appreciate my team mate apologising," he said. "We want to work better together. I'm committed to the success of Sahara Force India, and I'm confident that as a team we will put this behind us to reach even greater levels of success together."
