Crystal Palace are one of several Premier League clubs being linked with a swoop for Benfica winger Andre Carrillo.

The 26-year-old Peru international only moved to the Estadio da Luz from Lisbon rivals Sporting last summer and made 32 appearances, scoring three goals in all competitions last term.

Carillo enjoyed a better spell with Sporting, with 162 appearances over five seasons and he scored 16 goals in total for the club.

He has plenty of experience of Champions League football and over 30 caps for Peru so would be a quality acquisition for Frank de Boer's squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The main obstacle for the Eagles is to try and persuade Carillo to join them as he is also being chased by Premier League rivals Stoke, Newcastle and Huddersfield Town, according to reports from Portugal.
