At the age of 9, during a family holiday, Emilia d'Avack discovers the seabed of northwestern Bali ... 20 years later, she leaves to save them with Pur Projet . An action supported by Avène Thermal Water.

Pur Project to the rescue of the coral reef

Marine biologist, Emilia leaves her laboratory and throws herself into the big bath when she crosses the road of Tristan Lecomte, founder of the social enterprise Pur Projet. Their goal ? Support the community of Pejarakan *, northwest of Bali, who wants to restore its coral reef, destroyed by fishing with dynamite and cyanide, and by global warming . The memory of his first dive is intact. Nothing could motivate her further. But if the inhabitants are also convinced that a living reef is worth more than a carpet of dead corals (disappearance of fish and tourists, disruption of the entire ecosystem ...), we must restore their confidence. This is where the "Biorock" technique comes in: by stimulating the regrowth of the cuttings thanks to a weak electric current, the reef comes back to life in an accelerated manner. Magical and full of hope for coastal villages.

Avène Thermal Water, patron of the operation

For 3 years already, it is with Eau Thermale Avène, via Pur Project, that Emilia finds the necessary funds for the follow-up. Developing for several years eco-friendly solar care , the brand is naturally involved with the local association Pokmasta that manages the dives and maintenance of the reef daily. Emilia comes back twice a year to share their greatest success: the return of a flourishing biodiversity. Next step ? Protect the lagoon and stabilize the coast by replanting trees around crops and restoring mangrove forests. Emilia is already raising her sleeves.
