Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson will finally complete a £45million move to Everton this week, reports have claimed.

The Toffees have been chasing the Icelandic midfielder all summer and now look set to finally land their man after Swansea agreed to a compromise over the transfer fee involved.

The Swans had been holding out for £50million, but now it appears they are willing to accept £40million that will rise by another £5million with add-ons, and the deal could be completed next week.

Sigurdsson did not travel to the United States with the rest of the Swansea squad for pre-season, while he sorted out his future, and reports now claim the deal will be rubberstamped once the Welsh outfit return this week.

It has been claimed that Everton are willing to pay Sigurdsson £90,000 a week, and the player will jump at the chance of a move to Goodison Park after turning down the chance to join Leicester City.
