Discount supermarket, Aldi has launched three new luxury reed diffusers in beautiful ‘Jo Malone’ inspired fragrances, costing just £3.99 each. From Tuesday 5th September, customers will be able to pick up the Lime, Basil & Mandarin and Pomegranate Noir scented diffusers in stores across the UK, followed by Freesia & Pear two weeks later (19th September).

Boutique retailer, Nellie Mimosa, have created their debut collection of a trio of 100% natural candles, branded as ‘Essence Of’ commencing with three key areas:-
Each candle contains a varied mix of scents from the traditional notes of aloe, to the sandy breezes of sea grass.
With a 60 hour burn time, the candles are made from natural organic plant wax, containing no petroleum products. The elegant packaging features hand-painted images of local tourist hotspots, to include Bournemouth’s traditional pier and beach huts, created by Nellie Mimosa’s very own brand executive, Steven Conn.
Nellie Mimosa’s Director, Heather Martyn, adds “We’re very excited about this iconic candle launch as we believe this is a first for the UK. We carried out a regional survey, plus extensive market research to select fragrances that best reflected the three areas branded within the candles and over 60 scents (to include bluebell, grapefruit, wild fig and bergamot) were considered. The final selections went into creating the compounds of the candles that are now being launched at the three locations in September”.
With keen interest from regional Tourist Information Centres and travelling visitors from overseas, it looks promising that the ‘Essence Of’ range will develop into a full collection representing suburbs surrounding the coastal headquarters of Nellie Mimosa.
“We responded to demands from both our regular clientele and tourists visiting the area” adds Heather “as people love to take a holiday memento back home with them. We’ve been producing our own range of candles for some time now but felt that a natural candle, with a 60 hour burn time, branded with a regional name and containing essences of locally sourced aromas, will keep the memories alive for a long time after the holiday is over”.
